Derelict cottage

My wife and I were up on Lewis and Harris over this weekend. We have a hankering to own a property there.
My wife's father is originally from Harris and we've visited a few times but would like to have somewhere to chill out when we visit.

Anyway, we were driving through Scarista Mor and saw this cottage. (Photo attached).

It's obviously derelict, but does anyone know anything about it? Who owns it? How long has it been empty? Are there any plans for it?

Any advice would be most appreciated!
