From Cornwall to Barvas

Hi,
My partner and I are hoping to move to Barvas at some time in the future. At the moment we live in Mousehole, Cornwall. Whilst searching the internet to find a property to rent we came across a cottage in lower Barvas. The cottage was ideal for us and so we applied immediately. Unfortunately, the property had just been let to someone else. We were disappointed at missing the opportunity but the owner kindly said that we could be considered for occupancy if and when the current tenants left. We are both artists, Amanda makes jewelery and I paint. We have always wished that we could live somewhere off the beaten track and feel that the Outer Hebrides is the ideal place.
We were really pleased to discover this website and forums and look forward to meeting other users.
