US author asking for help!!

Hello,

I am an American writer--newly begun on a novel that takes place in the Hebrides. My island is fictional, but is based on Lewis and Harris. I visited your lovely islands while in college, but that was a long time ago. I would so love to meet some people who could answer a range of questions about Hebridean life. I don't know exactly what those questions are yet, but I know they will present themselves as the book unfolds!

Personally, I am a stay at home mother of two children--7 and 5. Today is my youngest's birthday and I've been trying to plan a party for her preschool friends without breaking the bank. Before children I working in marketing for a hard disk drive company.

My book also involves the bagpipes, which I've been playing for about 6 years.

I hope whoever reads this is well, and I can't wait to hear from you!
